Angela Masters wins Citizen of the Year at Carrathool Shire Australia Day Awards

Australia Day Awards 2025 for the Carrathool Shire were held at the Merriwagga Hall with over 130 people in attendance.


The special day was led by Mayor Daryl Jardine and our 2025 official Australia Day Ambassador, Catherine DeVyre, a renowned author and keynote speaker.


Angela Masters won Citizen of the Year.

Natasha Peters won Young Citizen of the Year.

Brent Parsons won Sportsperson of the Year.

Harry Liddicoat won Junior Sportsperson of the Year (12 to 18 years).

Charlie Bunn won Junior Sportsperson of the Year (5-12 years).

Community Group of the Year was Goolgowi Recreation Ground Trust.

Community Event of the Year was Carrathool time capsule opening ceremony.
