The Hay HQ Brigade will use a low intensity burn, in small patches to ensure it is a well-controlled and targeted burn.
The RFS request that members of the public remain clear of Bushy Bend area for the duration of the hazard reduction, this includes abstaining from the use of exercise equipment and the walking track.
Remember that smoke from hazard reduction burning can affect some people more than others.
NSW Health reminds people that children, older adults and people with heart and lung conditions are most susceptible to the effects of air pollution.
If you have asthma or a lung condition, please reduce your outdoor activity. If you develop shortness of breath or coughing, take your reliever medication, or seek medical advice.
Please only call Triple Zero (000) if you see unattended fire.
