Griffith City Council is inviting residents to take part in its first Community Opinion Group (COG) meeting of the year on Wednesday, February 26, at 7pm at the Yenda Diggers Club.
The COG provides an opportunity for community members to bring forward issues, ideas, and concerns in a relaxed setting, engaging directly with councillors and council staff.
Council is currently calling for agenda items, with submissions closing at 4pm on Thursday February 20.
Residents are encouraged to put forward topics they would like to see discussed.
Mayor Doug Curran said the new initiative aims to strengthen communication between Council and the community.
“We want to ensure our residents have a platform to voice their concerns and ideas in an open and welcoming environment,” said Mayor Curran.
“The Community Opinion Group is about listening to our community and working together to shape the future of Griffith.”
To submit an agenda item, contact council on 1300 176 077.
