"Thanks to our generous community we managed to raise $505.50 from Daffodil sales last week, all for Can Assist Balranald Branch. Huge thanks to everyone who supported this great cause,
" said the business on their social media page.
The town of Balranald is simply phenomenal, never failing to get behind every cause they can.
In 2024, Australians gave a bunch for Daffodil Day, raising over $3.3 million towards lifesaving cancer research.
This year, the Cancer Council is aiming to surpass this amount, although country wide figures are not yet known for 2025.
"We know that almost 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, so it takes all of us to give hope for better treatments and better outcomes," the Cancer Council said on their website.
Thanks to small towns like Balranald, the cause will never be lost.
