After the judging took place last week, the Balranald Discovery Centre precinct has now moved forward in the 7 NEWS NSW and ACT Community Achievement Awards in the Council Crown Land Management Excellence Award category.

So they are now the top five in their category. The Awards Dinner is on November 29, where the result will become clear.

The Balranald Discovery Centre precinct is a tourist complex in Balranald, NSW, in Market Street, that includes a visitor information centre, interpretive pavilion, and Discovery Café. 

It also features recreational facilities like an interactive playground, skate park, and 24-hour RV stop with amenities such as free warm showers and toilets. The precinct is home to historical buildings like the Museum, Old Gaol, and Wintong School, providing a hub for tourists and locals.

The Centre has gained rave reviews from visitors and won a Silver Award at the 2015 NSW Tourism Awards and Bronze at the Inland Tourism Awards in 2015. It Also won a Bronze Award at the 2017 NSW Tourism Awards.

Recently the centre received a 2017 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for the consistent great reviews earned.
