 Barbara Turner, Deputy Director Remote Health Services wins 2025 Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Award

Far West Local Health District's 2025 Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Awardee was Barbara Turner, Deputy Director Remote Health Services. 


Ms Turner operates in the Wilcannia and White Cliffs area.


The award recognises a nurse or midwife who demonstrates outstanding leadership in the areas of clinical care, management, education, or research. Barb exemplifies all of these qualities.


Ms Turner has been credited as a long-standing employee and highly valued member of her Directorate, and has played a pivotal role in inspiring many nurses to expand and diversify their careers.
