RFCS holds training day in Hay

Counsellors with the Rural Financial Service NSW gathered in Hay to undertake additional training

Counsellors with the Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW met in Hay recently to undertake training in business review and other topics pertinent to the delivery of the RFCS program.

CEO Craig Hough said the opportunity to come together was vital to ensure counsellors provide consistent, high-quality service to rural communities across NSW.

"Every four months our regional teams come together for face-to-face learning and development in different towns across our service region," Mr Hough told The Riverine Grazier.

"This is important for maintaining the skills of the counsellors, build relationships and give back to the towns they service."

Established in 1986, Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW specialises in rural financial counselling and provides free assistance for primary producers in the central and southern regions of NSW.

Local counsellor Linda McLean is based in Hillston and offers RFCS services to agricultural and rural small businesses in Hay and Carrathool Shire.

Stephen Morris services the Central Darling Shire region.

Graham Witte is available to those living and working in the Balranald and Wentworth Shire, and Bonnie Hayes works in the Griffith, Leeton and Murrumbidgee Shires.
