Hillston Bluebirds have confirmed that Jed Webster has been voted in as the Women’s Head Coach for the 2026 season, marking his second year at the helm.
The decision comes as no surprise to players or supporters after Webster’s standout 2025 campaign, during which he was unanimously awarded Women’s Coach of the Year by the ProTen Committee.
In just one season, Webster oversaw the formation of the largest women’s Bluebirds squad in club history - a milestone widely attributed to his commitment to building an inclusive, empowering environment.
Under his leadership, the club has emphasised a culture of support, safety, and growth, offering beginners a welcoming space to learn the game while ensuring experienced players continue to develop and excel.
With strong player retention expected for 2026, optimism is high. Webster’s renewed appointment provides stability and momentum as the women’s program continues its rapid rise.
The women are fighting to build something special here and with the support and belief of their coach, that’s exactly what they will do.
Hillston Bluebirds will take part in the 2026 ProTen Community Cup competition, which covers the traditional region of the now defunct Group 17.
