The Sturt Highway is closed following a truck fire near at Duryeas Trail, east of Balranald.

Emergency services has responded to a truck fire which has caused the closure of the Sturt Highway.

Travellers are to avoid the area and expect delays.

The highway is expected to re-open once the fire is extinguished and the site made safe.
