The Tilpa community rallied last week to cater for more than 160 people, who descended on the tiny hamlet as part of the 2025 Riverina Outback Rally.
56 teams plus support vehicles stayed overnight at the Darling Riverside village, and were treated to a hearty selection of potluck meals last Thursday evening.
Volunteer cooks travelled up to 85 kilometres to cater, and rose with the sun to also provide a hot breakfast.
The Riverina Outback Rally is an annual event, that started in Bamera SA, and ended five days later in Hillston NSW, after also visiting Arkaroola, Innaminka and Packsaddle.
The rally supports Wagga Wagga children’s charity Country Hope and raised more than $588,000 this year alone. The group also raised an additional $30,000 along the way for outback communities and families.
Next year the rally will embark from Wagga Wagga, as part of the tenth anniversary adventure.
