Ivanhoe Roosters have claimed the top spot in the 2025 ProTen Community Cup Competition.

Their massive round six victory over hosts Deniliquin Blueheelers see the Roosters men’s side move to the top of the ladder.

Saturday’s games saw the return of rugby league to the township of Deniliquin, for the first time in four decades.

Ivanhoe’sThomas Lee and Ethan Harris both crossed for doubles, while Hillston kept their finals hopes alive with a win over Narrandera - their first victory over the Lizards since 2021.

An exhibition match of women’s rugby league played between Group 20’s Hay Magpies and ProTen’s Barellan saw Barellan take the win 28 points to 10.
