11am - Power has been restored in Hay, after reports bird strike caused the three hour outage.

10.55am update: Essential Energy’s website shows no outage in Hay, yet the power remains off.

They expect the service to resume at 11am.

9.30am update: No new information from Essential Energy. 

Hay Children's Services are open and contactable as normal 0269931757 (option 1) or email [email protected]. 

Robbo’s Bakery is open. Instant coffee and tea only, but EFTPOS is working for now.

Commonwealth Bank will remain closed until power is restored. 

Hay Newsagents is open for cash or account transactions- no Lotto. 

9am update: 2108 customers effected. 

Essential Energy says the reasons for the outage remain unknown but they are investigating. 

Bendigo Bank will remain closed until power is restored, buy the Friday assembly at Hay Public School will continue as normal at 9.30am in the school hall. 

8.30am 2257 residents in the Hay district are without electricity

Essential Energy has advised they are aware of the outage but do not yet know the cause.
