NSW Police are re-appealing for information after the body of 56-year-old Broken Hill man Ian Lacey was found near Wentworth on January 16.

Police were called to Log Bridge Road at Wentworth about 9am, following reports of a scrub fire.

During the search of the area, they located a body, and a crime scene was established and forensically examined.

Detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, which has been deemed suspicious.

As enquiries continue, police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Wentworth and Log Bridge Road in the week leading up to the 16th, and who may have information, CCTV, and/or dashcam vision to contact Crime Stoppers.
