Candidate nominations for the Central Darling Shire Council election are now open.

Nominations can be lodged from today with the NSW Electoral Commission and must be lodged by 12 noon on Wednesday August 20. Late nominations and amendments cannot be accepted.

Nomination forms and locations to lodge a nomination are available at elections.nsw.gov.au.

Candidates who need help with lodging their nomination can email [email protected] or call 1300 022 011. A final list of candidates, in ballot paper order, will be available after the ballot paper draw on Thursday 21 August 2025. Media are invited to attend the ballot paper draw at 12 noon at the Returning Officer's office which is located at 35 Reid Street, Wilcannia.
