New category 1 fire trucks delivered to Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area Brigades

Two new Category 1 fire trucks have been delivered to Rural Fire Service brigades in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area district, enhancing firefighting capabilities for Darlington Point and Goolgowi.

Captain of Darlington Point Troy Heath took delivery of the new vehicle from District Manager Scott Connor, whilst Goolgowi brigade also received their new Category 1 truck in separate deliveries. The additions represent significant upgrades to the firefighting fleet serving the MIA district.

The vehicles feature contemporary firefighting technology designed to enhance firefighting efforts, along with the latest crew protection systems to improve safety for volunteer firefighters responding to incidents. The modern equipment will provide crews with improved capabilities when tackling fires across the region.

Member for Murray Helen Dalton welcomed the deliveries, describing them as fantastic additions to the local firefighting fleet. The investment in new equipment demonstrates ongoing support for volunteer fire services in rural and regional areas.
