The 2025 season ProTen draw has been re-released, following news Naranderra has been unable to field a women’s side.

In a statement, ProTen officials called it “unfortunate,” but have moved to release a new draw, for the women’s competition.

“Unfortunately, Narrandera Lizards have been unable to field a women's side for the 2025 season, leaving the competition with five teams. 

“The club’s majority voted to have a four-game/one-bye season in the interest of fairness, with all clubs playing each other once. 

“Other options would have only ended with unfair draws with some teams receiving more byes than others or some teams having to play twice on the same day.” 

Season newcomers Deniliquin Blueheelers have not entered a women’s team for 2025, and under their agreement to be accepted into the revamped Group 17 competition, are only required to field a men’s side for each match, with no forfeits allowed.

The rounds at Deniliquin and Narrandera will be general byes for all teams.
