The On Farm Connectivity Program closes less than one week after applications opened due to funds being exhausted.

This is the second round of this grant, totalling $18 million, this follows round one which remained open for six months, worth $15 million.

This brings large concerns to Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton, who says "something isn't adding up. The insincere application process has only created frustration and disappointment amongst suppliers and growers.

This process needs to be reassessed to ensure it’s fair for everyone. I do hope that there were many farmers in my electorate who were successful, but there were certainly people who missed out."

In the event that funding remains available following this assessment, the portal may be reopened to new applications and this will be advertised on the Australian Government website.
