Central Darling Shire Council has advised the Ivanhoe landfill (tip) is closed at the moment and will re-open when the access road dries out, following the weekend's rainfall.

Council says it expects the landfill site will to re-open later this week.

The Bureau of Meteorology's official record measured 40 millimeters of rainfall at Ivanhoe on Saturday.
