Ivanhoe Central School to undergo sewer works in school holidays

The NSW Department of Education has concluded an investigation into a sewage leak at Ivanhoe Central School in October which impacted the school oval, parking area and cricket nets.

The Department has organised installation of a new aerated wastewater treatment system in the summer school holidays.

This will include underground works to connect a new sewer line, laying top soil and turf and installing a new outdoor garden tap.

The works re expected to be completed by the start of term one, 2025.

Trenching and excavation work will happen on the school oval, which will e partially and temporarily fenced.

There will be increased traffic during the period in which work is undertaken, with vehicles accessing the school grounds via the Raleigh Street entrance.
