Hay Shire Council to Host Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Hay Shire Council to Host Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Get ready to brew a cuppa for a cause!

The Hay Shire Council will once again host an event for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea.

Mark your calendars for Thursday May 22, 2025.

The morning tea will take place outside the Shire Office in Lachlan Street, Hay NSW.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is a major fundraising event for Cancer Council.

It is held annually in May, encouraging individuals and communities across the country to host morning teas to raise funds for those affected by cancer.

The core goal of the event is to raise funds to support the Cancer Council's vital work.

This includes funding cancer research, prevention programs, and essential support services for individuals and families impacted by the disease.

The concept behind the event is wonderfully simple yet highly effective: you host a morning tea and invite others to contribute.

It strongly encourages community participation, with hosts able to choose their location, whether it's at home, a workplace, or a community gathering like the one hosted by the Shire.

The event has a significant impact, raising millions of dollars each year and bringing people together nationwide to support those affected by cancer.

The Hay Shire Council invites everyone to drop by to say hi and enjoy a cuppa and a treat, all while helping the Cancer Council raise vital funds.
