A fire has destroyed the homestead at Mundi Mundi Station near Silverton, with emergency crews responding to the blaze on Monday afternoon.

Broken Hill firefighters and Rural Fire Service personnel were called to the remote station around 4pm, arriving to find the home almost completely collapsed.

Essential Energy, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance crews also attended the scene.

All occupants on the property were accounted for and no injuries were sustained in the incident.

Acting Fire and Rescue NSW Captain Jack Simmonds said investigations into the cause of the fire were continuing.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were released from the scene and made their way back to Broken Hill around 8pm that evening.

The Mundi Mundi Plains area, located approximately 25 kilometres from Broken Hill, is home to several pastoral properties in the far west of New South Wales.
