Griffith Pioneer Park Museum is calling on local Aboriginal community members to express their interest in volunteering to be part of a newly established First Nations Advisory Group.
This initiative reflects the Museum’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation, cultural inclusion and the respectful sharing of First Nations histories and perspectives.
The Advisory Group will play a central role in shaping the Museum’s approach to:
Exhibitions and storytelling
Cultural programming
Community engagement
Truth-telling and heritage preservation
Manager of Griffith Pioneer Park Museum, Jenny O'Donnell-Priest said, this is a vital opportunity to ensure local First Nations stories are represented.
“Whether you are an Elder, artist, educator, youth or community member, we want to hear your voice,” she said.
Expressions of Interest are now open and will close on 30 June 2025.
Community members interested in participating are encouraged to express their interest at connect.griffith.nsw.gov.au/first-nations-advisory-group
