Following an extraordinary council meeting held on May 14, Administrator Bob Stewart approved the release of draft operational and financial plans for the 2025-26 period.
Community Engagement Officer Gabrielle Johnston, who attended the meeting, confirmed that the draft documents would be available for review at council offices and on the council's website.
"We encourage all community members to take the time to review these important documents and provide their feedback during the 28-day exhibition period," Ms Johnston said.
The documents include the Draft Operational and Delivery Plan outlining council's priorities for the upcoming year, the Long-Term Financial Plan projecting finances to 2035, the proposed Fees and Charges schedule, and the Workforce Plan detailing staffing arrangements.
Of particular interest to residents may be the projected $992,000 operating deficit, which could impact service delivery across the shire.
Submissions from the public will be accepted until June 11, with all feedback to be considered before the final adoption of the plans at the ordinary council meeting scheduled for 28 May.
