Clare Public School marked its 40th anniversary on October 18, with Mayor Zaffina joining past and present students, teachers, principals and parents for the milestone celebration.

Teaching Principal Mel Scott organised the well-attended event, which honoured the school's journey from an initial idea to a vital educational facility serving isolated families in the region.

“Isolated children deserve the opportunity for a great education just like their fellow students anywhere else in the country,” Mayor Zaffina said, praising the ICPA Balranald Branch and all those involved in making the school a success story.
