Parents have been alerted to an approach made to students in Hay

The alert was issued to parents and carers of school students in Hay, following reports a man approached children this morning (Tuesday, August 12, 2025)

"We have been advised of an incident on Leonard Street (Hay) this morning, of a man in a vehicle with QLD number plates, approaching high school students," the alert read.

Schools advise parents and carers to discuss 'stranger danger' with their children.
