Carrathool Shire Council Addresses Spray Drift Concerns

Stay tuned for the results of the council’s action on spray drifting.

Carrathool Shire Council addressed concerns about spray drift from cotton production operations and its potential effect on established trees in the area during its May meeting.

Following a notice of motion from Councillor Geoff Peters, the Council resolved to raise this important issue with several relevant organisations.

These include the Environmental Protection Authority, Agricultural Spray Operators, property owners involved in spraying, the NSW Department of Primary Industries, and Cotton Australia.
