Australia Post Container has arrived at the Ivanhoe Multi Service Outlet Council building.

The secure airconditioned container is complete with postal mailboxes for residents.

The Ivanhoe Licensed Post Office started operating in October last year from the MSO building providing postal and banking services.

This all came about after the town’s post office closed its doors when no buyer was found after two years on the market.

Before this, Ray and Jan Longfellow had run the Post Office for close to 40 years.

Anyone who would like to purchase a mailbox can contact the Council.
