The driver, a 29-year-old man left Hay and drove in a northeasterly direction along the highway, in a vehicle with expired ACT registration.
He allegedly fell asleep 85 kilometres from Hay, veered off the road before awakening and over-correcting. The front wheel buckled and the vehicle flipped and rolled.
Passing traffic saw the dust from the incident and stopped to give assistance.
The sole occupant crawled from the vehicle, and attempted to stand, as emergency service were called.
Police attended and spoke to the driver to obtain their version of events and conducted a breath test for alcohol, which returned a negative result.The driver was issued infringements for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and driving without a licence.
