Trish Webb has been awarded a Distinguished Service Award from the NSW Primary Principals Association for her work in educational leadership, advocacy, professional learning and mentoring.
The award particularly recognises her passion for supporting rural and remote communities throughout her career.
In 2008/09, Webb co-chaired the Far West Aboriginal Child Development and Wellbeing Management Group alongside Maari Ma Health CEO Richard Weston.
The group drafted a strategic framework document that led to the establishment of Maari Ma's Early Years Project, which includes supported playgroups, the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY), early literacy programs and home visiting services supporting families.
The Early Years Project continues to provide crucial early childhood support across the far west region. Colleagues have described Webb as an amazing force for educational good in far west NSW, with her work having a lasting impact on children and families across the region.
The Distinguished Service Award recognises individuals who have made exceptional contributions to primary education and school leadership in New South Wales.
