Darling River to reach minor flood levels by the end of April

The NSW SES says that the Darling River at Tilpa is likely to reach the minor flood level towards the end of April.

The SES says based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by dangerous floodwaters:

  • Bourke – Wilcannia Road may close between Louth and Tilpa.
  • Low-lying roads, bridges and causeways along the river and creeks.
  • Unsealed roads in the area may close

Locals say the water is about 1.3 meters over the Paroo Crossing on the SR3 Tilpa Tongo Road.

Central Darling Shire is keeping residents updated and you can stay up to date with the latest flood advice and warnings on the SES website.
