Central Darling Shire residents head to polls tomorrow

Voters across Central Darling Shire will elect their local council representatives this Saturday, with polling places open from 8am to 6pm.

The 2025 Central Darling Shire Council election will see residents from Ivanhoe, Menindee, and Wilcannia cast their votes to determine the composition of their local government for the next term.

Three polling places will be available across the shire on election day:

  • Ivanhoe Community Hall - 37 Columbus Street, Ivanhoe NSW 2878
  • Menindee Civic Hall - 30 Yartla Street, Menindee NSW 2879
  • Wilcannia Community Hall - 22 Myers Street, Wilcannia NSW 2836

Voting is compulsory for all residents enrolled to vote in the Central Darling Shire Council local government area, and electors are encouraged to check their enrolment details ahead of election day.

The NSW Electoral Commission website contains comprehensive information about polling place locations and candidates standing for election.

While postal vote applications have now closed, postal votes can still be counted if completed by 6pm on election day and received by the NSW Electoral Commission no later than 6pm on Friday, 10 October.

Important reminder: Polling places are subject to change, and voters should check the NSW Electoral Commission website ahead of voting for any updates.
