Rural women will be at the centre of celebration this October, with the inaugural International Rural Women's Day event to be held in Booligal.
The event will be held at Booligal Hotel Function Room on Wednesday, October 15 at 5.30pm.
Promoted through the Hay Women's Network and proudly supported by SproutAg, the evening aims to bring together women from across the region to connect, share experiences and recognise the strength, resilience and leadership of rural women.
Guests will enjoy a relaxed networking evening with finger food nibbles provided, while celebrating the vital role women play in agriculture, family business and community life.
The event is an important opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of rural women and get together to meet others in our district.
"At SproutAg, we see first-hand the strength, knowledge and resilience rural women bring to family business and the agricultural industry," SproutAg Partner Charlie Whythes said.
"Their leadership is central to thriving communities and sustainable enterprises, and rural women continue to shape the future of Australian agriculture.
"We're proud to celebrate their contribution on International Rural Women's Day."
