"Carrathool Shire Council sees education as a key process in the development and growth of its residents, particularly its youth," a spokesperson said.
"In order to aid this development and to ease the transition and expenses for rural students, Carrathool Shire Council generously offers two $3,000 scholarships to students who reside within the Local Government Area."
Applications for the tertiary scholarships at Charles Sturt University (CSU) are now open.
Scholarships are open to both commencing and continuing students at CSU campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga.
Students can be studying on campus, online or a mixture of both study methods.
Applications close 9am, February10, 2025
The Charles Sturt University Foundation Trust distributes more than 300 student scholarships every year.
These scholarships are funded by individuals and organisations who strongly believe in supporting Charles Sturt University and its students.
