Haydays Retirement Hostel is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team for an immediate start, with opportunity to expand to permanent part time or full time for the right applicant.

This is a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents by preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals in a caring and homely environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with set menus and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.
• Work cooperatively with staff to ensure smooth meal service for residents.
• Manage kitchen inventory and assist with ordering supplies as required.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a kitchen or cooking role (aged care experience is highly desirable but not essential).

Willingness to obtain (or current possession of):

• A current National Police Check
• A valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

This role would suit someone who is organised, compassionate, and enjoys working in a team environment that supports older members of our community.
